English-Speaking Preschool and Kindergarten in Koropi

kindergarten Koropi

If you are looking for a kindergarten or preschool in Koropi, you probably want three things: a school where your child feels happy, a program that prepares them well for primary school, and hours that fit real family life. Agapeland has been offering exactly that to families in Koropi and across Mesogeia since 1992.

Agapeland is a boutique private preschool and kindergarten for children from 2.5 to 6 years old. It is a small, multicultural school where everything runs in English: stories, songs, story time and free play. Children learn through play and exploration, in a warm environment with a large garden, a sports court and even a few animals.

A small, international school with a family feel

Agapeland is deliberately small. At times the school welcomes more than 20 nationalities among its 25 to 30 children. Children grow up hearing different languages and accents, making friends from all over the world, and learning respect for each other’s needs, wants and differences. For families who have recently moved to Greece, it is an easy place to settle in. For Greek families, it is a chance for children to build confidence in English and feel at home in an international group.

Programs for every age

Cocoons (ages 2.5 to 3.5). A nurturing space where little ones take their first steps into learning and play.

Caterpillars (ages 3.5 to 4.5). The Explorers program helps children build fine motor skills and confidence. They learn to draw inside the lines, trace letters and numbers, and cut accurately, and they discover that their hands can express their own ideas. Learning goals include letter names and sounds, phonics, reading and writing their own name, counting to 100 by 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s, and the days of the week and months of the year.

Kindergarten, the Butterflies program (ages 5 to 6). The final year at Agapeland is about mastering skills and finding a voice. Children work on reading and writing, multi-syllable words, penmanship, math and problem solving, alongside art, music, sport and social skills. They learn to be caring, cooperative and independent, ready for the big step into primary school.

Ready for primary school, whichever you choose

Kindergarten graduates are prepared for first grade whether parents choose a Greek, English or international primary school. Agapeland runs separate preparation groups:

  • Preparation in English, for English-speaking and international elementary schools.
  • Preparation in Greek, for Greek elementary schools.

Greek holidays, cultural lessons and experiences are also part of the school year, including celebrations such as Greek Independence Day in the school auditorium.

Sports, nature and creativity every day

Agapeland offers more than most preschools in the area:

  • Sports: a multipurpose sports court and a large indoor auditorium for gym classes, dance and school celebrations. Children have weekly tennis and dance classes, and kindergarten children also play basketball, volleyball and badminton.
  • Swimming: daily swimming sessions in the summer.
  • Nature and animals: beautiful grounds with bunnies, birds and ducks, and regular garden play.
  • Arts and music: painting, drawing, collage, mosaic, singing, rhythm and performances, with private music lessons available.
  • Cooking: kindergarten children help prepare the school lunch and learn about nutrition, hygiene and kitchen safety.
  • Celebrations and field trips: holiday celebrations and regular outings throughout the year.
  • Counseling support: a dedicated counseling service to help every child thrive.
